| Daily Email Alert Service |
|
| |
 |
| |
Everyday, First Government Contract sends an email that contains new
bid leads that are custom-searched to meet each member's keywords,
categories and target business area. To receive a daily email,
you must be a registered First Government Contract member. If you are
not yet registered with First Government Contract, please click
here to register now.
During the registration, you will be asked to submit three vital
pieces of information for daily email alert service; keywords,
categories and business target area.
|
- Keywords: Keywords are used to custom-search our
database and to select only bid leads that match those keywords.
You can submit as many keywords as you want as long as the
total number of characters does not exceed 800.
For more information on setting up keywords, please see
our search tips.
- Categories: Categories are used to narrow down
the search results. You can select the category that best
match your business, and only bid leads that match both
keywords and the category will be sent to you. This ensures
that you receive only the most accurate bid leads. Categories
can work in a different way, however. If you receive only
a few bid leads that match your keywords, then you can browse
all the bid leads that are in the category of your choice.
This way, you have a chance to find bid leads that do not
match your keywords but interest you in some ways.
- Target Business Area: Target business area means
the states or regions where you would like receive the bid
leads from. When you select states or regions, only bid
leads from the selected states or regions are sent to you
via daily email.

Once you have set up your keywords, categories and business
target area, you will be receiving the daily email pretty soon.
Daily emails are sent automatically and all you need to do is
to check your email periodically, for example, everyday.
While receiving daily email is automatically done, you need
to decide in what format you will receive the daily email. The
daily email is available in two formats; HTML (Hyper Text Mark-up
Language) format and text format.
|
- HTML Email: To open and read HTML email, your email
system must support HTML email format. HTML email format
is recommended because it is simply more convenient and
easier-to-read than the text format. Usually, most email
programs such as Microsoft Outlook and Eudora supports HTML
email format. Also, popular email services such as Hotmail
and Yahoo! Mail support HTML. If you receive HTML email
but your email program/service does not support HTML email
format, the email will look broken and unreadable. To check
if your email account supports HTML email formats, ask your
email service provider.
- Text Email: Using of text email format is recommended
to those who do not use email system that supports HTML.
So, if you have problem receiving First Government Contract daily
email in HTML format, change the email format to text format
by clicking here. Although text format is fully useable
and readable, it is not as convenient as HTML format. And
it is highly recommended to use HTML format in anyway possible.
If you do not have the HTML-capable email address, the best
way would be to open a new email account with popular email
services such as Hotmail (www.hotmail.com)
or Yahoo! Mail (mail.yahoo.com).
They are free and very easy to use.
- AOL Email: If you use America-On-Line as your default
email address, please make sure that you have AOL browser
version 6.0 or higher. Also, you must check whether your
AOL email option is set to receive HTML email.
- Change of Email Format: To change the email format
from HTML to text or vice versa, click here.
- Broken Unreadable Email: If First Government Contract daily
email looks broken or unreadable, that is usually because
your email system does not support HTML or your email system
is set to receive only text email format. Please check if
your email system supports HTML format and it is set to
receive HTML email format. If your email system do not support
HTML format, change your daily First Government Contract email format
to text by clicking here.
If your email system does support HTML format, but the problem
still occurs, please contact our customer support team.
